Hello All. My name is Andrea Ortiz and I am currently a second year student at the University of San Francisco with a Business Marketing major and Art History minor. Being a part of the Erasmus Project has been a very influential, eye opening experience. Growing up I was not really aware of the many ongoing issues around the world and I feel that through Erasmus, not only will I be more aware and knowledgeable about social injusticies happeneing not only within the community I live in, but also around the world, I will be able to help bring change and hopefully stop many of these ongoing issues.
Currently I am working as a researcher/investigator for the Not for Sale Campaign. I hope to find valuable information that will be key in to ending human trafficking in the city of San Francisco. More specifically I am focusing on gathering information on how these women are being transported from other countries to the Bay area as well as within the city of San Francisco.
