A Note From Christina:
As a sociology major I have always been interested in the way in which humankind works within society and the injustices that one person can do to another. I have come modeled my interest around fighting for the oppressed. I believe that I have lived such a fortunate life that it is simply not fair for others to suffer. My own experiences and influences have brought me to be a part of The Erasmus project.
As a member of Erasmus I am given the opportunity to be apart of the Not For Sale Campaign and stop the injustices happening in our own backyard. There is no excuse to ignore the global slave trade when
San Francisco is an international hub for human trafficking.
My contribution and role in our investigation of human trafficking in will be to interview people around the city that may bring us one step closer to reveal the trafficking circles. I will be talking to; journalist, volunteers and workers at victim centers, trafficked victims, trafficking attorneys, police and city officials, and whoever else may be of any help. In addition, I will be researching the background of each individual of whom I interview in order to gain a broad concept of who that person is and what they do. I will also be preparing specific questions for each person I talk to, in order to ensure we achieve the information we are looking for.   I am looking forward to being on the forefront of this investigation. The idea of meeting and talking with those directly involved and influenced by the trafficking circles in everyday life within
San Francisco is extremely exciting. I know that I will not only be contributing to making an impact but personally learning a great deal from each of these individuals of whom I get the chance to interview.

I’m a student at Santa Clara University doing research on Human trafficking in our area. I was wondering if there was any way you could send me statistics about the human trafficking in the San Fransico area sometime before the end fo the week.
    Thanks so much!
