A note from Angelica:

Hi all! My name is Angelica Loza and I am a sophomore at the University of San Francisco where I am majoring in Graphic Design and minoring in Film Studies. My role in this human trafficking project is that of the filmer/photographer. As our interviewers and reasearchers gain information and find new developments, it is my job, along with the help of other photographers to document this process as best as I can through video and film. This footage will then be compiled into a documentary which will be distributed to other universities as a guide to begining their own research centers. Photographs of the process will also be posted in blogs to share the process with everyone as it is happening.

Joining the Erasmus Project was an important choice for me because I saw it as a way to develop my awareness of important issues that I may not otherwise be able to explore. I find that exposure to important discussions and research, along with immersion experiences are an important part in being an active role in the global community. I also wanted to find opportunities to apply any artistic interests in areas of social justice. Being a part of the Not For Sale Campaign has presented this opportunity and I hope that this documentation with inspire other students to find other ways to spread justice.
